Jackstrap Devlog 05 - Attack Sequence and Combo Questions

This update had less game-code progress, but included a major attack-animation sequence and early questions about how combos should work.

What changed?

  • Did a lot of social media / public-facing setup work.
  • Created a long attack sequence made of several different hits.
  • Built an attack sequence that still forms part of the basis for the current game attacks.

What I’m unsure about?

  • The combo system was still unclear.
  • It was not yet decided whether combos should be chosen, predefined, or tied to waves.

Open questions

  • How should combos be composed?
  • Are these actually combos, or selected attack sequences?
  • Should the player choose them?
  • Should a whole wave or run use the same combo?
