Jackstrap Devlog 05 - Attack Sequence and Combo Questions
This update had less game-code progress, but included a major attack-animation sequence and early questions about how combos should work.
What changed?
- Did a lot of social media / public-facing setup work.
- Created a long attack sequence made of several different hits.
- Built an attack sequence that still forms part of the basis for the current game attacks.
What I’m unsure about?
- The combo system was still unclear.
- It was not yet decided whether combos should be chosen, predefined, or tied to waves.
Open questions
- How should combos be composed?
- Are these actually combos, or selected attack sequences?
- Should the player choose them?
- Should a whole wave or run use the same combo?
