This update explored Shaolin-inspired poses and the first technical ideas for bouncy boxing-ring ropes.

What changed?

  • Worked on Shaolin Kung Fu pose references.
  • Explored bouncy boxing-ring ropes as an arena interaction.
  • Built an early rope version, but it was not satisfying.

What I’m unsure about?

  • The first rope implementation moved the whole rope too rigidly.
  • A more rope-like solution still needs to be found.
  • A possible direction is using Godot 2D skeletons or another deformable setup.

Open questions

  • How should the ropes bounce in a way that feels physical and rope-like?
  • What is the best technical approach in Godot?
