Jackstrap Devlog 13 - UI, Family Jewels, and New Animations
This update defined the first rough UI direction, introduced the family-jewels joke, and reworked some character animations.
What changed?
- Worked on the first bare-bones version of the UI.
- Used Shogun Showdown as one of the UI references.
- Introduced the family-jewels joke as a central game hook.
- Defined the idea of literally protecting or finding family jewels.
- Reworked the death animation.
- Reworked the celebration animation in a way that better matches Jack’s personality.
- Used the fox from Disney’s Robin Hood as inspiration for the celebration animation.
What I’m unsure about?
- It is still unclear whether to show the direct Robin Hood reference publicly because the animation is very similar.
